corbotron : definitely see a big rise coming after all the fear selling on Wednesday
watuzzi : The investors are smarter than you think they need to see more than just the D-wave CEO affirmation. Right now, we are searching for the RIGHT quantum stock. After all hype is over.
BelleWeather watuzzi : I am long D-Wave shares and think it promising. I have been writing CCs on it to lower coat basis (now beliw zero,) and produce income. But I anticipated a drop in quantum tickers based on valuations and current utility and scalability. To that end I also wrote some naked calls on it and related tickers (in a different account,) in hopes that January volatility would move them in my favor quickly, and was lucky and able to close sooner than expected (naked calls are scary.) I do think DCA into dips on QBTS is a solid strategy (as well as on others in the space, IONQ is at an attractive entry for example, though my basket in the soace is full.) I agree that the words of the CEO are fairly meaningless, as they dont address nearterm profitability nor scalability, only limited utility. Though I’m not sure if investors are as savvy as you suggest, at least not across the board (keep seeing rocket emojis and vehement claims that these tickers will bounce back and higher, very soon.)
