ExxonMobil’s second-quarter net income rose 17% to $9.2 billion from a year ago, beating consensus as it achieved record production in Guyana and the Permian Basin in the southwestern part of the U.S.
But Chevron missed expectations, with net income declining 26% to $4.43 billion. Chevron reported a sharp fall in U.S. refining margins and said it was shifting its headquarters from San Ramon, California, to Houston, Texas.

152398743 : looks like Microsoft has been pretty relevant throughout. which is kinda amazing for a company that after all is said and done, produces mediocre software, has a long list of false starts, from Microsoft Bob, to Windows Vista to Bing, and now I think Copilot (not the code assistant, but that privacy invading nightmare that takes screenshots every 10 seconds or something). I really don't know how they make money unless it's off the back of Azure. their OS sales can't really be that much, especially considering it's really only useful as a Gaming OS nowadays
