Who can open a moomoo entity account?
This checklist is a guide to help you understand what customer information is generally collected and checked before any financial product or service can be provided. This is not a full list and other information may be collected subject to the complexities of your entity structures and business types. The following is required to ensure we can meet our regulatory obligations.
Your company's current registration details with ASIC, including your company's full name, ACN number, full address of the company's registered office and principal place of business (if any);
Your company's tax residency information - including countries of residency and tax identification number (if ABN was not provided)
Shareholding structures of your company
Any individual below is an associated person of the company. The information collected for identifying an associated person will be the same as we collect for opening an individual moomoo account. They include:
Directors of your company
All beneficial owners of your company (every individual who ultimately owns 25% or more of the company)
Anyone else who is authorised by the company to operate the moomoo account (an authorised certificate, a certified board resolution, or a power of attorney must be provided to substantiate the authorisation in addition to other information we collect).
Other information such as whether the company earns more than 50% of its total income from investment activities, etc.
The Trust - including the full name of the trust, country of establishment, trust type, full name of the settlor, full name of each beneficiary of the trust (or details of the class)
The trust's tax residency information - including countries of residency and corresponding tax identification number (if ABN was not provided)
Identification information for the following persons (collect to the same level of information as we collect for opening an individual moomoo account or an Australian company account):
all individual trustees (the same as we collect for opening an individual moomoo account) or corporate trustees (the same as we collect for opening an Australian company account)
All named beneficiaries of the trust
appointer(s)/settlor(s), if applicable
Anyone else who is authorised by the trustee to operate the moomoo account (an authorised certificate, a certified board resolution, or a power of attorney must be provided to substantiate the authorisation in addition to other information we collect).
Please provide a trust deed certified with a wet-ink signature. This document should be mailed directly to our office at Suite 17.01, Level 17, 570 George Street Sydney NSW 2000 (less than six months old).
The SMSF - including the full name of the trust, ABN and TFN (Tax File Number)
Identification information for the following persons (collect to the same level of information as we collect for opening an individual moomoo account or an Australian company account)
all individual trustees (the same as we collect for opening an individual moomoo account) or corporate trustees (the same as we collect for opening an Australian company account)
All members of the SMSF
appointer(s)/settlor(s), if applicable
Anyone else who is authorised by the member of the trust to operate the moomoo account (an authorised certificate, a certified board resolution, or a power of attorney must be provided to substantiate the authorisation in addition to other information we collect).
