McKinsey's survey on EV owners switch back to ICE is paid for and lack credibility

$Tesla(TSLA.US)$ $BYD COMPANY(01211.HK)$ $NIO Inc(NIO.US)$ $XPeng(XPEV.US)$ I used 3 articles to show that "Mckinsey Mobility survey claims 46% of US EV owners likely to switch back to ICE" lack credibility:
1) Wikipedia
More than 400 civil society groups signed a letter of protest to Kenyan President William Ruto, accusing McKinsey of influencing the 2023 Africa Climate Summit. Leaked documents revealed that the consulting firm tried to push controversial carbon market schemes that would benefit its fossil fuel clients. In 2023, an AFP investigation revealed in multiple leaked documents that McKinsey was using its position as primary advisor to COP28 hosts, the United Arab Emirates, to push the interest of its oil and gas clients (ExxonMobil and Aramco).
2) Teslarati
In social media platforms such as X, avid EV fans have noted that the survey’s findings are quite interesting because they do not reflect their everyday EV ownership experience. One of the most notable points surrounding EVs, after all, is the idea that drivers who experience electric vehicles typically don’t go back to combustion-powered cars.
3) Bradford Ferguson and TSLA from X.com
Their research is paid for.
Golden rule number 1, always check who subsidised the results. It's easy to order any result if you pay.
My Take: Wikipedia information is most convincing that McKinsey Mobility survey results lack credibility. I will take the survey with a pinch of salt. It also reminded us to check the firm doing the survey has any agenda and who is funding it. McKinsey Mobility survey also highlighted buyers are interested in plug-in hybrid electric vehicles. I question the reliability of the result as it too benefits the oil and gas companies.
