ZnWC 樓主 : Someone is saying Tesla Cybercab (or Robotaxi) is inferior to Google's Waymo because the former is tele-operated. He is using the same argument that Tesla humanoid robot, Optimus is less superior because it is tele-operated.
Tesla Cybercab is using FSD technology to drive the vehicle autonomously. Tele-operated is a safety requirement to test drive on public roads. The Robotaxi will drive autonomously 99% of the time.
In the same argument, tele-operated in Tesla Optimus is a safety precaution. The robot is operating autonomously most of the time by itself.   People are often mistaken by the video showing a staff "teaching" Tesla Optimus as "tele-controlling" the robot.
