After 10 short years, it was listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 1972 (stock code: 84). Baoguang's English name “STELUX” comes from “steel” (steel) and “luxury” (luxury). The reason is that in the early 1960s, stainless steel parts manufactured by the Group were regarded as luxury products. Since then, Baoguang's business has continued to expand, and now it has a widely recognized leadership position in the watch and eyewear retail and wholesale industry. The brands operated by the Group such as “Time Gallery”, “Glasses 88” and “Seiko Watch” are all well-known brands, and have established a solid foundation in the countries and regions where the Group does business. In 1985, Baoguang opened a time gallery in Hong Kong, China, creating a completely innovative watch retail culture. “Time Gallery” targets middle-income consumers and sells multiple brands and lifestyle watches at clear prices in a single watch retail store, fundamentally changing the sales model of traditional department store counter retail watches. Since then, Time Gallery has grown and has nearly 400 stores in Hong Kong, China, Macau, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and mainland China. Time Gallery sells a variety of trend-leading watches, from agency brands to the Group's own brands, including the famous “Tiedashi” brand. In 2002, Time Gallery also won the “Hong Kong Super Brand” award. In 1988, Baoguang purchased the promising eyewear business “Glasses 88” in Hong Kong, China, and later expanded this business to Macau, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and mainland China, specializing in the middle and high-end markets. “Glasses 88” always leads the trend in the industry and is the first to provide professional and high-quality eye care and after-sales service. Baoguang purchased Tongcheng Group in 2005, which has always had exclusive distribution rights for “Seiko” brand watches in Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia, to further assist the Group in expanding its watch retail business. In 2011, the Group opened a single-brand frame and lens retail chain “eGG”, targeting young and trendy customers. The first “eGG” store opened in Hong Kong, China, and currently has more than 10 stores in Hong Kong and mainland China.
