About TVB Company

TVB now operates five digital TV channels, providing free and diversified television entertainment 24 hours a day, 24 hours a day for more than 2.41 million households in Hong Kong, China. Among them, the flagship channels - Emerald Channel (Cantonese) and Pearl Channel (English), broadcast over 17,000 hours of programming each year. To promote digitalization, TVB officially launched a 24-hour high-definition channel - HD Emerald Channel in December 2007, so that viewers can enjoy more diversified and brand-new audiovisual entertainment. Since then, two more digital channels have been launched: J2, which broadcasts home-produced programs and buys popular series from all over Asia to target fashion-seeking audiences; and Interactive News Station, the only digital channel in Hong Kong that provides 24-hour free news. In Hong Kong, China, TVB's various TV broadcast channels (compared to all other TV channels) garnered an overall audience share of 82% during prime time from Monday to Friday.
