Mobile app: Select a target stock, then on the Detailed Quotes, tap Company > Summary > Analyst Ratings.
The Analyst Ratings feature consists of three sections, i.e. Consensus Rating, Target Price, and Detailed View.
This section displays the combined rating from selected analysts along with a horizontal histogram showing the proportion of each specific rating.The overall rating, as well as each specific rating, is derived from the rating data for the past three months. To set up an alert for any changes in the overall rating, tap the bell icon located in the upper right corner. This will allow you to receive a push notification when the overall rating is updated.
Under Consensus Rating, you may find the Target Price section. This section not only indicates the target stock's current price but also provides insights into the trend of its closing price over the past year. Additionally, it highlights the highest, lowest, and average target prices that the outside analysts have forecasted for the next year.The highest, lowest, and average target prices are all derived from the rating data for the past three months.Keep in mind, there is no guarantee that any price targets, opinions, or forecasts provided by the outside analysts will prove to be correct.
This section provides ratings from outside institutions and analysts. The Institutions subsection displays the target stock's closing price trend charts along with all ratings given by selected institutions within the past year. In this subsection, the color used to represent "Up" indicates a Buy rating, the color used to represent "Down" would indicate a Sell rating, and gray signifies a Hold rating.
Tap the trend chart under a specific institution, and you will be taken to a page displaying all past ratings by the institution for the target stock.
1) Overview
Tap the profile photo or the name of a specific institution, and you will be taken to the page displaying the latest ratings by the institution for all stocks that it has rated in the past.
2) Alert
By tapping the alert button in the upper right corner, you can set up an alert. Whenever there is any change in the ratings or the target prices made or forecasted by the institution, you will receive a push notification.
As mentioned before, the Detailed View section provides ratings from outside institutions and analysts. The Analysts subsection displays the target stock's closing price trend charts, along with all ratings given by selected analysts in the past year. The most recent ratings and their respective release dates are highlighted. The colors used to represent "Up," "Down," and gray indicates Buy, Sell, and Hold, respectively.

2) Analyst Star Level
TipRanks provides a ranking of each analyst up to 5 stars, which is representative of all recommendations from the analyst. An analyst's past performance is evaluated on a scale of 1 to 5 stars, with more stars indicating better performance. The star level is determined by his/her success rate and average return.
Success Rate: the number of the analyst's successful ratings for a specific stock, divided by his/her total number of ratings for the stock over the past year. A successful rating is a rating based on if TipRanks' virtual portfolio earned a positive return from the stock.Success Rate is calculated by TipRanks
Average Return: return on the virtual trade of a specific stock based on the analyst's rating changes in the past year.Average return is calculated by TipRanks.

Total Average Return: to determine an analyst's performance, TipRanks creates a virtual portfolio consisting of the stocks that the analyst covers. The analyst's average return is then calculated by tracking the percentage change in the stock price from the time of the initial recommendation to when the same analyst changes or reiterates that recommendation. If the analyst does not change their recommendation within a year, the average return is calculated over that 1-year period.
3) Alert
By tapping the alert button in the upper right corner, you can set up an alert. Whenever there is any change in the ratings or the target prices made or forecasted by the analyst, you will receive a push notification.
Tap the share icon in the upper right corner of the homepage of this feature, and you can share the information on this page with your friend. You can choose to take a screenshot or create a long image. In particular, a long image contains the whole page, i.e. Consensus Rating, Target Price, and Detailed View (including five new subsections).
